Large antique cameo in 14 kt / 585 gold set with diamond women portrait - Italy
Antique hand cut cameo with woman profile The elegant lady with the fine up-do hairstyle is cut in a shell: the portrait is ivory white and the background carnelian red.
The lady has a very fine features and a necklace on the neck made of a turned gold cord. On the chain a natural diamond is hanging and shining.
The cameo is really large with 43 mm without hoop. Width: 38.5 mm Pendant and brooch. The setting is handmade exactly for the dimensions and the natural shape of the cameo. It is 585 / 14 kt solid gold.
Hallmarked at the back side with a brand name for the gold smith or the cameo cutter 'APA', additionally a punch with *NA (star + identification for Napoli?) and a 585 hallmarked in a hash.
