Reprint of the codex made in the 12th century in the scriptorium of St. Albans and preserved in the Dombibliothek in Hildesheim. The work, enriched with 42 miniatures, was commissioned by the abbot of St. Albans for Christina of Markyate, who had decided to dedicate her life to God. The printing is 4-color Luxor vellum paper plus powdered gold and gold foil. The binding is leather with blindstamping and 5 cords in the spine, entirely handmade, parchment paper endpapers, leather capitals and gilt clasps. The work, accompanied by a Commentary volume, is housed in a valuable marmot slipcase entirely covered in leather with double compartments to hold the two overlapping volumes, vendôme silk-lined interior, front plate with padding and gold titles and friezes.
