The Domaine Muré Pinot Noir Cote de Rouffach is ruby red in color with delicate aromas of wild strawberries, red berries and cherries. This organic Pinot Noir has a nice depth and ripeness, soft tannins and a pleasant fresh aftertaste due to the warm microclimate. The vineyards are located near the village of Rouffach in Alsace. The terroir receives an exceptional amount of sun despite the shelter of the highest peaks of the Vosges. The predominantly calcareous subsoil ensures good drainage. The grapes are harvested manually from vines with an average age of 45 years. The wine undergoes slow fermentation and matures in wooden barrels. This wine is the perfect accompaniment to poultry such as duck and pigeon or refined game dishes.
