April 19, 1889 in Warsaw, died on September 1, 1944 there ) – Polish geographer. A graduate of the 8th High School in Warsaw from 1905. From 1922, a professor at the University of Warsaw, where he managed the Department of Geography. Co-founder of the Polish Geographical Society. In 1922 – 1939, editor of the "Geographical Review" and the Polish department at the "Bibliographie Géographique" in Paris. On May 2, 1923, he was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. In 1943 – 1944 he lectured at the secret University of Warsaw. He was murdered by a German soldier during the Warsaw Uprising. He dealt with geomorphology, quaternary geology, hydrography,limnology (he developed the catalog of Polish lakes) and cartography.
