Yoshihiro Tachiki was born in Tokushima Prefecture, the second son of a family that ran a photo studio. Yoshihiro Tachiki grew up in a family of genuine photographers: his mother was a model for the NHK television series "Nacchan's Photo Studio," and his uncle was the founder of the Asahi Camera magazine. After graduating from photography school, Tachiki worked for art director Seiichi Horiuchi and then joined AdCenter, where he distinguished himself in fashion, commercial, and nude photography. He is one of the most popular photographers in postwar Japan, and was also famous for his portraits and nudes of famous actresses such as Mariko Kaga and Momoe Yamaguchi.
