DETAILS: This lovely pencil shows a nice vintage natural wear and patina concerning the silver cap, still very acceptable for colletion ! Beautiful vintage Parker "51" model MK I from late 1940's mechanical pencil, uses 1mm leads. Matches 51 Vacumatic fountain pen. In nice Black colour Lucite plastic barrel. Sterling Silver (925) cap with smooth and engraved lip band. Gold plated clip and gray translucent mother-of-pearl cap jewel. Old style Vacumatic arrow clip. Rolled gold conical point. Ridged grip section. The pencil extracting/retracting leads mechanism is actuated with the twist of the cap. Supplied with 1mm lead and pink eraser, as shown. Measures: - length total: 130mm - diametre max.: 9,7mm Made in USA. Perfectly clean and shiny, in 100% working order ! No case or instructions supplied, sorry. CONDITION: Good vintage overall with some wear marks on cap and no flaws. See last pictures: sterling cap shows minor wear/micro scratches and more obvious few nicks/small dents/short scratches on top end both sides of clip, from careless use over the years. Buffed barrel to recover original shine and beauty, now very polished and shiny with practically no marks overall. No obvious or hard scratches, no scuffs and no cracks all over. Crisp cap engravings. No major wear/brassing to the gold plating, except slight wear point and ring edges. No oxidations. MOP jewel internaly slightly micro stress crackled from time, not very obvious or concerning. No repairs. No deformation to cap and barrel. Smooth and precise extracting/retracting mechanism. The eraser is fairly smooth and near original colour, acceptable regarding it's age! Writing perfectly and smoothly. No personal engravings.
