Two half bottles of Blanco Fino, 1941,1939,in good condition.labels slightly damaged.with alcohol tax of 0,50 centimos de peseta and another one of luxury of San Sebastian City Council, Spain. There is not much information available about its vinification. A very limited production was vinified during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) in large wooden vats, from the founding era of the winery (1901) for 18 months. It was supposed to be bottled gradually over the course of 1944-1945, but post-war consequences in Spain halted the bottling. The wine was not bottled, due to the severe economic difficulties the winery experienced in the post-war period. The wine remained in centenary barrels from 1941 to 1952, more than 11 years. Bottled directly from the barrel, one by one. Not filtered. Currently classified as "Gran Reserva" by the Rioja Control Board. We have incorporated a heat-sealed cap to optimise shipping and preservation.
