2018 Dominio del Águila TARAVANTE "Cuba Singular" - Ribera del Duero Reserva - 1 Bottle (0.75L) This is an exclusive masterpiece and limited red wine created by Jorge Monzon from a single barrique barrel. The barrel ultimately only produces a few bottles. This underlines the exclusive character of the wine and makes it a jewel in discerning cellars. Jorge Monzon describes the Dominio del Águila Taravante Cuba Singular as a reflection of his soul and the terroir of the Ribera del Duero region. The cuvée consists primarily of Tempranillo from the old Taravante vineyard, which lies high above sea level between Peñas Aladas and Canta la Perdiz. This wine has a strong cherry red color with garnet-colored reflections. The bouquet brings shimmering fruit to the nose. Ripe black cherry, raspberry and cassis come together here. Framed by a hint of roasted coffee beans, the fruit remains the main character until the first sip. In the mouth, this wine is full and lush from the very first second. Perfectly balanced and structured tannins give it plenty of grip and a velvety soft body. Black cherry, blackberry jelly and a hint of pink pepper make the moment on the palate so impressive.
