A Baule Mask, Ivory Coast, of delicate rounded features and harmonious a-symmetry, evoking feelings of tranquility and balance. The sculpture has decorated the hair and sculpted seven asymmetrical horn coming out of the head, the small mouth, long pointed nose, coffee bean eyes, and pointed ears. The prominent forehead and contemplative gaze reflect the Baule aesthetic's emphasis on intellect and reverence.
