Condition remark: Much better in the hand than on the pictures. A small banker's mark on reverse, in front of Caesar's head.

Historic context: This is the first coin that bears the name of Marcus Antonius, who is still depicted with a mourning beard, after Caesar's assassination in the previous year. The issue occurred at the time when M. Antonius had been declared Hostis publicus by the Senate, so that he was under pressure to legitimize himself.
