An agate bead talisman depicting a gazelle from the ancient Western Asiatic culture.

1st millennium AD or older .

In good condition. It has been cleaned partly, but the nice antique patina is preserved. Original, ancient, hand cutting, carving, grinding. The holes are ancient, hand-made, irregular.Traces of use and age on its surface.

Purchased mid 90's in Paris by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market.
