Up for auction is a nice antique 4/4 italian violin for professional musician or collector. The label says: Anno 1735 Carlo Bergonzi fece in Cremona. The instrument was professionally restored - grafted scroll, new fingerboard, new ebony set up, new Despiau bridge and new strings. There are no visible cracks. Only some tears and wears to brown reddish varnish over golden ground. This is a superb sounding instrument, also very beautiful in appearance. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. Medium grained spruce top. The softly flamed two pieces maple back measures 355 mm. The total length of the violin is 586 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 159 mm; middle bouts: 111 mm; lower bouts: 199 mm. Shipping worldwide insured!
