Just like the movies: Zoolander 2's movie car is up for auction

Cars often play an important and memorable role in movies. Who doesn’t know Mr. Bean’s green Mini or the Delorean DMC-12 from the Back to the Future trilogy? At Catawiki, we’ve got a special car in our auction this week that you may recognise: the Fiat 500 limousine from Zoolander 2, used by actors Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.

Imagine being taken to meetings, picking up friends and relatives, even getting married in a one of a kind car, one that has no other rival in the world. Custom made by entrepreneur Agostino Gizzi, this bold and sassy Fiat 500 limousine was crafted from a combination of a Fiat 500 Giardiniera and Fiat 500F over the span of 12 months, Gizzi was called on to do this project by the producers at Paramount Films for the well anticipated movie Zoolander 2.

“I thought it was a joke at first, then I received the production company credentials through the Fiat 500 Club in Italy” explains Gizzi, after which he had no more doubts. The smooth lines and classic style of this 1970 Fiat hybrid stay true to it’s roots, but become extraordinary in every other way, the wet dream of any Fiat 500 enthusiast. Because of it’s role in Zoolander 2, It’s almost certain that this special Fiat 500 Limousine will go down in movie history as an iconic prop, as it already emulates that special Italian air of nonchalance and classy elegance.
