How to Buy and Sell Rolex Watches Online Without The Stress

Many watch collectors know the struggles of buying and selling their Rolexes online. You want to know that you’re getting a genuine, good quality watch when you’re buying, and you want to be sure that you’re going to get a fair price when selling, but often achieving this can be a difficult task within the world wide web. However, here at Catawiki we make buying and selling Rolex watches easy, trustworthy and stress free with our weekly Rolex auctions. Read on to discover more on how we do this here at Catawiki.

Let’s start with the great selection. Within the 30+ different specialised watch auctions, there are weekly auctions specifically dedicated to Rolex Watches and Rolex Accessories. Each one of the hundreds of Rolexes have been reviewed by one of our watch experts, so you can be confident in the quality of every single item. If you have any questions about any of the watches, our experts are always ready to assist with anything you want to know.

Placing a bid

Once you’ve picked your watch, it’s time to place a bid. Each of our items start at a bid of €1, regardless of whether they have a minimum reserve price. After that, you can choose to either manually or automatically bid. Manual bids will raise the bid to the price you’ve entered, whereas automatic bids will attempt to outbid your competitors until your maximum price has been met, to ensure you will be the highest bidder for as long as possible.

Congratulations, you've won! When you’ve paid, the money is held by Catawiki for 14 days, at the end of which the seller will receive the payment. If you haven’t received your watch yet, then you just need to let us know, and we’ll mediate where necessary. This means that your money is safe at all times.

How does Catawiki make selling stress free?

Our experts are here to help you

For starters, we have over 14 million potential bidders visiting our platform every week from across the world, which means that you’ve got a great audience to advertise your watches to. And offering up your Rolex for auction is totally free, all you have to do is make a free account, take some amazing pictures and write a nice and detailed description and the experts will take it from there.

Keeping quality high

Every watch on Catawiki is 'special'

The experts maintain a high level of quality amongst the auctions. Every single item on Catawiki must be ‘special’- not something you can buy in your average store - and our experts must determine that it has a minimum estimated value of at least €75. This great quality is the reason why buyers have fewer reservations about purchasing online, and hence your Rolex is much easier to sell than on other online marketplaces.

You can set a reserve price on your Rolex and if it isn’t met, it isn’t sold. You won’t be charged anything at all if it isn’t, meaning there is really no reason not to use Catawiki next time you want to sell something from your collection!
