1. Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back - Original Poster Recreation – Primera – First Edition
If you’re a big Star Wars fan, then you’re in for a treat! Back in the ’80s, George Lucas asked the Spanish master painter Sanjulián to create the cover art of his latest movie; Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. In 2017, Sanjulián recreated this iconic poster, keeping all the details of its original. You can now find this stunning artwork in our specially dedicated Art of Sanjulián Auction.
2. Blake & Mortimer T4 - Le Mystère de la Grande Pyramide 2 + supplements - C - TL - (2017)
Golden Creek Studio is a small, but a well-known publisher of beautiful deluxe comic albums. They’re known to do justice to great classic titles from the Franco-Belgian Golden Age. In this week’s French Comics Auction you can find this album from Blake & Mortimer, called ‘Le Mystère de la Grande Pyramide II’. This album is signed by the artist and features two fac-similé celluloids showing the process of inking and colouring. A special display stand is also included with this beautiful album.
3. Tintin T8 - Le sceptre d'Ottokar (A18) - N&B - Grande Image - Hardcover - Reissue - (1942)
The Tintin album “Le Sceptre d’Ottokar” was recreated in 1942 with a different cover than its previous editions. The image used on this cover has the size of the full cover, the so-called “Grande Image”, and only 5000 copies with this full cover exist. The beautiful looking image was only used for this print, later versions all had a different cover that is still used today. That makes this album rather unique and is sought-after by many. In this week’s Comics Auctions (Hergé/Tintin) you can find one of these rare albums in good condition.
