This slab of the ammonites is 18 x 16 cm and it weighs 2.06 kg. This is the dactylioceras layer, and many specimens have been prepared out of the stone. Some more ammonites, found into the same layer, have been glued onto the stone for making the specimen more decorative.
We have here a stunning sample.
The stone has been sawed for acting as a support.
