An unusual large and exceptionally high quality antique Chinese porcelain ewer with a central decoration of Firey clouds, lotus and blossom sprays, covered in a nice underglaze cobalt blue and white glaze. In the border geometrical floral patterns. Handcrafted in ancient Imperial China during the Qing dynasty, Kangxi period (ca. 1690). On the backside an unglazed foot rim, marked Yu (Jade). Guaranteed original and of the stated period.
Including original lid!
Height: 16,0 centimeter
Condition: The ewer is in overall good condition, a small (glaze) flake from the sprout, a hairline deriving from a baking imperfection on bottom. The lid with the original re-attached lid, the hinge is restored/mounted with silver. Otherwise no damages or restorations. The condition is carefully checked with strong UV-light and bright translucent white light.
