It dates from the Triassic Period, 252 to 201 million years old.
This carefully restored reptile fossil has been sandblasted so that the lustre on the bone surface is clearly visible. The fossil's surface has not been coated with protective agents, restored, or pigmented to enhance the colour.
This is a superb, original fossil, in 3D, without augmentation, and has a quartz vein running through the matrix.
