A very nice and large sculpture of a fishing lady titled ‘Pêcheuse’

The lady is sitting on a rock on the waterfront and has a friendly appearance

This sculpture is made with great craftsmanship and precision by Ernest Justin Ferrand (1846-1932) This craftsmanship can be clearly seen in the face, hands and feet of the lady

It is made of zamak and has a bronze patina, this creates a warm bronze look

It comes from France and presumably from circa 1900

Details:

Height: 76 cm
Length: 32 cm
Depth: 30 cm
Weight: 15 kg

It is signed ‘Ferrand’ and on the title plaque is also the text: ‘Récompensé au Salon’. This means that the sculpture once won a price at the exhibition where it has stood

The fishing rod possibly is missing the fishing line but otherwise the sculpture is in very good condition, the photos speak for themselves
