This is a matching numbers BMW bike in good order -both aesthetically and mechanically. Despite that it has 72 years on its back, it starts easily and runs well.

Recent engine/brake service, new battery and new NGK spark plug. The bike benefited from the installation of new Dunlop Gold Seal K70 retro-look tires and new tubes. The Bing carburettor was meticulously cleaned, serviced and adjusted for easy engine start and smooth operation.

All electrics were checked; a battery cut-off switch has been installed in order to avoid battery drain during storage.

The bike features a two-seat layout thanks to a pair of original Pagusa saddles in good condition.

Paint quality is above average with a few chips as presented in the photographs. The rear lower side of the front wing has some imperfections like most R25s have due to the peculiar shape of the wing and its very short distance from the ground. Most chrome parts present well with room for improvement.

The R25/2 has been produced for only 3 years (1951-53) and sat between the R25 and R25/3. Its rated nominal power was 12HP/5,800rpm (relative to 12HP/5,600rpm for the R25) using a more powerful crankshaft and different seat springs compared to the R25. Today it is an all time classic airhead made to last thanks to its robust engineering and simple mechanical layout.
