These stirrups are a fine example of silver inlay, where intricate patterns are carved into metal or wood and then filled with silver. The cherry blossom motifs on these stirrups are not only decorative but also carry cultural significance, merging aesthetics with practicality.

The interior of the stirrups is finished with vermilion lacquer, adding a vibrant contrast to the outer metallic detail. Despite signs of wear, rust, and some loss of the inlay and lacquer, they remain in reasonable condition, echoing their historical journey and usage.
