Magnificent Sugar Bowl with rose knob lid and handles, produced by Herend - “Rothschild Bird” Collection, marvelous hand painted, well known pattern with birds perched among branches and scattered insects, in excellent to pristine condition.

This pattern was first created in 1850 for the Rothschild family of Europe and is considered to be the epitome of hand painting on porcelain.
Twelve different motifs portray a 19th century tale about Baroness Rothschild who lost her pearl necklace in the garden of her Vienna residence.
Several days later it was found by her gardener, who saw birds playing with it in a tree.

This Sugar Bowl is in excellent to pristine condition, marked with blue Herend stamp and numbered, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see pictures as they are part of description.
