Rare and magnificent 1988 Jaguar Ronart W152 S6.

MECHANICS
Powered by a legendary 4.2 litre six cylinder Jaguar XK engine, fully rebuilt using genuine Jaguar pistons, equipped with an oil cooler, triple SU carburettors on separate polished manifolds, polished cam covers, electronic ignition and the latest six branch exhaust system. Polished aluminium radiator and a high power thermostatically controlled with manual override Kenlowe electric fan ensures cool running at all times.

Short shift 4 speed Jaguar manual gearbox and Laycock overdrive, geared for effortless high speed cruising. Limited slip power lock differential, twin servo assisted disc brakes, ventilated at the front, inboard at rear. Wire wheels with new Avon Turbosteel 235/70/15 tyres. Adjustable gas shock absorbers front and rear.

INTERIOR
Full Jaguar instrumentation with supplementary oil pressure gauge and digital temperature gauge. Engine turned aluminium dashboard and bulkhead with 17 inch Blumels ‘Brooklands’ steering wheel (smaller 15 inch wood rimmed polished aluminium steering wheel supplied as an option). full grey leather interior with matching tonneau and half tonneau.

BODYWORK
Deep blue metallic paintwork in very good condition, as seen in the photos. Chrome wire wheels.

HISTORY
The car runs faultlessly, sounds glorious and is an absolute pleasure to drive. The W152 was designed to specifically recreate the 1950's era of the last of the great front-engined Formula 1 cars.

It is not a replica but a truly unique classic design which has been widely accepted in the classic car world and has gained a superb reputation since its conception 40 years ago. Ronarts are warmly welcomed at any Jaguar event. This example was invited to represent Jaguar at the 2022 ‘100 years of Jaguar’ celebration at Angoulême.

For once the over used phrase ‘ultimate head turner’ accurately describes this fabulous machine. Currently French registered as a historic vehicle.
