Louis Albert Carvin, born in Paris on August 7, 1875, died January 6, 1951, is a French sculptor of characters and animals. Born of a father painter and illustrator, Louis Albert Carvin was admitted to the school of fine arts of Paris where he was the student of Emmanuel Frémiet and Georges Gardet. He exhibited at the Salons of the end of the XIXth century in 1933. He got an honourable mention in 1894. Carvin carried out the Muse of aviation, trophy bronze offered on May 1, 1909, by Léon Bollée, president of the Aero Club of Sarthe, the brothers Orville and Wilbur Wright (which is still in their home in Hawthorne Hill at Dayton3). He made their bust on the occasion of the Michelin Cup at Pau, in 1908 He used deers, hinds, lions, panthers, birds, the wolfhounds, sometimes horses as models...
