Finished with beautiful woodwork and a grey velour interior which blends well with the body’s black lacquer. The 300 was technologically very advanced for its time and shared many mechanical and visual innovations with the iconic 300SL 'Gullwing' such as the injection engine, suspension and chassis. The W189 series was built in a limited edition of 3,142 units, this makes the 300-series very exclusive and is one of the rarest postwar Mercedes models. The 300D was the successor to the 300C and included an improved injection engine which gives 160hp. This ''Dora'' is in beautiful original condition, it is an older part-restoration, it has the right kind of patina which only enhances the car. The body is very solid with perfect fits and hanging parts and locks. It has a new exhaust. This Mercedes is very suitable as an investment due to its low production run, it will not look out of place in a collection! This original Dora does of course has some signs of wear, see photos.
