The kukri is a Nepalese chopping knife that is used to chop wood or slaughter animals with. It is also the characteristic weapon of the Gurkha, a tribe from Nepal and the Indian State of West Bengal. The blade can vary in length from 10 cm to more than 50 cm. The handle is made of water buffalo horn.
The centre of gravity is carefully constructed, so that one can balance the knife on a nail.
The knife is complete with a leather sheath.
