Statue of a saint ‘Maria Rosa Mystica’
The Rosa Mystica is an honorary title of Our Lady.
It is one of the many honorary titles in the litany of Loreto, also called the litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The text was documented by Pope Clements in 1601.
Because of the spirituality of Maria Crocifissa di Rosa, Pierina understood that she was to dedicate her life to the Virgin Mary.
Velvet sky-blue cloak bordered with silver trimmings and closed with a chain with silver-coloured buttons.
Rosary with red and white pearls and medal.
The rosary medal reads ‘Rosa Mistica’ and ‘Maria Matar Ecclesiae’.
The bottom of the pedestal shows the following texts:
ORA PRO NOBIS’ (Pray for us) - ‘MATAR ECCLESIAE’ (Mother church).
Statue: Height: 48 cm, width: 16 cm.
Robe: Height 58 cm, width 65 cm.
