Geo Gyaniny - Les Martigues
Geoges L. Gyaniny, 19th 20th, is a painter born in Paris and considered as "école de Montmartre". He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français and indépendants. He often painted in the South of France. He had a characteristic style and bright palette, he worked his colours with thickness, Géo Gyaniny knew how to capture the vibration of the light playing on the waves with pure and clear skies.
This oil on wooden panel is a nice example of his talent as a colourist. Signature on the bottom right.
Highlighted nicely in a wooden and gilded stucco frame, the name of the artist is engraved on a brass plate, typical of the 19th century.
