Anne Aknin, or Anne Roland Aknin, or Anne Aquenin, born 10 November 1921 in Białystok (Poland, at that time in Russia), is a painter, mosaic painter and creator of French tapestry of Russian origin. Three of his tapestries were purchased by the “tribunal de grande instance” of Evry during the construction in 1976. One of them still adorns the sitting room of the court.
Le Roman de la Rose is a French medieval poem about love. It was the best known and most important work of the French medieval literature, written in the 13th century, which remained popular up until the 16th century.
