Beautiful and elegant necklace and Earring set from the well known Canadian jeweller of D'ORLAN. 1980's The gold plated chain necklace is holding an elegant two tone motief decorated in deep blue and emerald enamelling. The fastening clips both have the D'orlan signature. The earrings are just as beautiful. They are both decorated with the same blue and emerald enamelling as the necklace, and are clip on. They also have the D'orlan signature to the backs. Necklace length- 41cm Earrings- 2 x 1 cm In excellent codition. From a private collection. D'orlan was founded in 1957 by Maurice Braddon in Toronto, Canada, and is well known for it's high quality of workmanship. It is particularlly known for the use of 22ct triple gold plating on it's jewellery, which gives the jewellery longer wear and a more luxurious look. In 1984 D'orlan went into partnership with Nina Ricci the well known French fashion house. D'orlan designed and made jewellery for Nina Ricci to be sold at the Nina Ricci shops and high end department stores throughout the world.
