A collection of 7 different very fine Javanese Wayang Golek puppets in beautiful used condition, therefore, with some user damage, but this is absolutely not distracting. The very fine faces in particular, are striking in some characters. All puppets are hand carved and painted in great detail, in traditional clothing and in complete and original condition. Standing as depicted: approx. 65 cm high. Come without stand. - Nakula or Sadewa, one of the Pandawa twins. - Kama or Siwa, where the sumping has been replaced by hair. - Emban Geulis, the attractive servant. - Irawan, Lesmana or Dewabrata, this puppet can be used for these three characters. - Parikesit, the last Pandawa king of Astina. - Wisnu, who is often depicted with a twisted or wound headscarf. There are also puppet carvers who go for a straight hat - and a wreath of genuine (?) hair. - Wisnu with wound headscarf, with the sumping replaced by hair in this case as well.
