Lovely and rare "Fer-de-Berlin" ink set made by E.G. Zimmermann (signed Zimerman) in Hanau, Germany. The ink set is in excellent condition with no parts missing or damaged. The set is build from leafs, flowers and branches in fine detail. E.G.Zimmermann participated in the World Exposition in Chicago in 1899. His factory was remarkable for its wide range of products. E.G.Zimmermann expanded his production to include bronze and zinc casting as well as marble working around 1940. Today in Hanau there is a museum where E.G.Zimmermann's ironwork is exhibited.
