In addition, a hard-cover yearbook with a detailed description of the artwork and many other "forgotten" cars (184 pages in English).
The Austrian Erwin Wurm has worked on a series of sculptures titled Fat Car, depicting "swollen, obese, life-sized sculptures that bulge as overcrowded pockets". To create the desired fatness, the artist uses polyurethane foam and styrofoam covered with lacquer.
His 'fat' works of art are meant to criticize the consumer culture and the need of Western culture of material objects. Wurm once noticed that many people are obsessed with larger homes and larger cars, and that is exactly what he creates in these pieces.
