Training at the Academy Arts, Petritxol Street, being a disciple of the painter Antoni Gelabert.
He took part in multiple exhibitions such as the Exposición de Bellas Artes in Barcelona (1918) or the Exposiciones de Primavera ("Saló de Montjuic" of 1932, 1934, 1936). He held his first solo exhibition at the Sala Badrines Barcelona in 1931.
Ramon Soler's work was influenced by Paul Cezanne and the French Impressionists. He felt devotion for the work of the painter Isidre Nonell.
Soler's work as a painter focuses on landscaping and the making of drawings on everyday subjects.
His son, the renowned painter and cartoonist Joan Soler Jové, whose circus scenes and especially his drawings of Charlie Rivel have achieved international fame.
