Salvador Dalí - Gala nue regardant la mer qui à 18 mètres apparait

Salvador Dali (after) - Gala nue regardant la mer qui à 18 mètres apparait le Président Lincoln Chromolithograph on BFK Rives paper. Signed and dated in the plate. Paper size: 65 x 50 cm. Numbered in pencil: CCC/MM. The original dates from 1975. Lithograph published in 1988. With the publisher’s blind stamp. Published by ateliers Jobin, Paris. Tracked international parcel. The last photo is of the original work. Date, 1975. Size: 420 x 318 cm. Media: Oil on photo paper on wood. Location: Dalí Theatre-Museum. Dalí created this monumental work in homage to painter Mark Rothko, from a digital interpretation of the face of Lincoln, obtained by American cybernetician Leon D. Harmon. Once more, Dali appears as an innovator and presents a novel double image concept. The face of Lincoln is repeated in a small format in the left lower part of the work, where the figure of Gala, in a different pose, is also repeated. In the upper part, in a magnificent twilight, Dalí references his famous Christ of Saint John of the Cross. It is on display in the Museum of Figueras, one of the most admired works there.
