Large and interesting poster reproducing the famous scene of the exchange of water bottle from Coppi to Bartali or from Bartali to Coppi? On 17 July 1952, Fausto Coppi won the last of his nine stages in the Tour de France. He won three times in 1949, one in 1951 in Briançon, five in 1952, dominating a Tour with 28 minutes ahead of the second, the Belgian Stan Ockers. 4 July 1952, Lausanne-Alpe d’Huez stage: on the Galibier pass, Fausto Coppi and Gino Bartali passed what was actually a bottle of water (probably Perrier) and not a water bottle and the exchange was photographed by Carlo Martini. Hence the discussion about the exchange of water, whether it was given by Coppi to Bartali or vice versa. The poster is signed by Gino Bartali and dedicated to his friend Giorgetti.
