This pewter painting by J.A. Wennekes for WMF is set in a beautiful oak frame. It is a copy in pewter of the ‘Nachtwacht’ of Rembrandt van Rijn. The wooden frame in front has a tin plaque "Rembrandt van Rijn 1606-1669 - Die Nachtwache". Embossed stamp of WMF verso.
The images are very sharp and lifelike displayed. As the image is in relief, the figures stand out almost more beautifully than in the real Nachtwacht.
In very good condition.
