The Viennese string regulator, circa 1880, has an enamel dial with Roman numerals. Keeps time just fine. The 7-day movement has three weights and strikes every fifteen minutes on 2 wire gongs. The first soft gong indicates the: 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters. The second gong indicates: slightly fuller and faster of sound, the hours. The clock has a walnut cabinet with black accents in the pillars. This clock is in decent condition with signs of wear due to old age. The photos are an integral part of the description of the lot. The whole is reasonable to good considering the age. Complete with original winding key. The clock is high 132, wide 45 and deep 19 cm. The clock cabinet is high 75 and wide 30 cm. Imp: The dial has some hairline cracks and a mini chip in the enamel. In the top left corner is a crack. Weight total is estimated. Please see the final photos for this.
