This is a nice old tool used for making wood carvings. It is a wooden vise whose clamps are covered with leather and cork so that delicate pieces can be clamped. The base size of the vise is 9.5 cm x 40 cm (in closed condition). When the vise is fully open, something of 23.5 cm can be clamped. The vise weighs 5.6 kg. In good condition and usable, At the bottom is a slot that can be used to secure the vice to the workbench. See photos. There are of course signs of old age and use.
