This is a clear glass Line Cut object by Tapio Wirkkala model from the "Kantarelli" series for Iittala in 1951. Most of TW's works were given a model number, this object was also given a name “Foal’s Foot” translated into Finnish “Varsanjalka”. Model 3520: designed for 1951 by TW, version Iittala ca. 1955. It was produced between 1951 and 1959 and at 26 cm it is the highest of the two variants in the catalogue and has been safe in the display cabinet for at least 50 years.
