Stephen French invented the machine "Home Shuttle" and the "Home" in 1870. These two models were distributed around the world. Since 1884 the production of sewing machines amounted to about 500 per day. In 1889, New Home bought the Orange Iron Foundry Company. In 1893, New Home began the production of the "Climax" to replace the "Favorite". Then came the "Ruby", the "Rotary", and the "Little Worker". Unfortunately; in 1898, a fire destroyed part of the factory. In 1918, as World War II neared its denouement, New Home acquired the National Furniture Company of Williamsport in Pennsylvania. In the spring of 1927, New Home moved from 4th avenue in New York City to return its origins in Orange.
