Offered for auction is a beautiful WW2 US Army Ike Jacket uniform, dated 1944, with the advanced base ETO patch.This beautiful Ike jacket has an originally applied Advanced European Theatre Operations patch on the sleeve. The ike jacket also has nicely originally applied technician 4th grade rank chevrons and a WW2 Vctory and EAME medal bar with 4(!!) campaign stars, indicating the original owner of the ike jacket served in four major European campaigns. In conjunction with the 5 overseas stripes, this indicates that he served 2,5 years overseas in Europe, consistent with the units history in Europe. The jacket has beautifu patina and has a label which is in nice condition as well as the jacket itself. Ideal for a mannequin or buste, The jacket also has a beautiful sterling rifle badge (although it misses one small ring, which could be easily fixed). Overall a very nice WW2 European theatre WW2 US Army ike jacket!
