DESCRIPTION In the past, a large part of Cavez's land was part of a large emphyeutic term, which belonged to the landlord of the Order of Malta and his wife, called "Casal da Venda". Casal da Venda's house was the headquarters of one of the institutions that, with the evolution, became a place of commerce, "as Vendas", which was completely transformed in the 2nd half of the 19th century, with the creation of a modern farmhouse. undeniable beauty. The farm was considered one of the largest producers in the municipality (Cabeceiras de Basto) and probably in the 4 municipalities that cover the Basto region of traditional green wine. With more than 150 years of history, Quinta da Venda has planted old vines with the “Enforcado” training system as well as vineyards using a simple cord training system. The grape varieties used are Alvarinho, Arinto and Loureiro. WINEMAKER: Camilo Leite. WINE VARIETIES: Arinto (70%) & Alvarinho (30%). VINIFICATION Pre-fermentative skin contact after pressing the clear juice fermented in new French Oak barrels of 500 litres. Also aged 18 months with battonage. TASTING NOTES Pale bright citrine yellow color. Rich in white and yellow fruit, with barrique notes. Perfectly combined with the toast character of the 500L barrique mineral. Fresh, with the elegance of the white fruit as well as the buttery and vanilla from the oak. Showing overall a remarkable mouth volume and persistence with great ageing potential. SERVING Ideally suited for grilled or baked fish, white or red meat stews, charcuterie and strong cheeses. Serve it at 12ºC. Consume in moderation.
