Decorative headpieces and initials. In this scarce edition of "Honor Redivivus," Matthew Carter, a powerful essay on honor in general and of its particular divisions,. This work is complete with gentry in robes, and many armorial engravings in the text. Moderate age-toning and light and sporadic foxing throughout. Binding in overall delicate though good, interior in good condition.
There are notes written in ink and and erratas also handwritten.

Other details; The book contains 261 pages, on the last 3 ones the numbers were wrongly printed and corrected by ink handwriting (as shown in one of the last pictures that were attached) There is an ink pen handwritten index at the end, with lovely ancient handwriting. (as shown in one of the lasat pictures attached)
The book is about , heraldy, orders of knighthood and chivalry. It contains 43 images in total, the first ones are about robes of the different degrees of nobiity and the rest are coat of arms or shields. As defects to mention are the normal sporadic foxing throughout the pages, due to ancianity.
