A late Qing dynasty to Republic period Yixing teapot in 漢方 Han Fang style. The square teapot rests on four stubby feet and is decorated with ruyi cloud shapes on the sides and lid. It has three poring holes.
The 漢方 Han Fang style teapot stems from the Qianlong period and remained popular throughout the Qing dynasty.
Marked at the bottom with four character mark: 華鳳祥制 - Hua Fengxiang
Hua Fengxiang was born in Yixing during the Kangxi and Yongzheng years of the Qing Dynasty. He was good at imitating ancient utensils, which are elegant yet simple in flavor. Seals used by the artist include "Made by Hua Fengxiang", "Made by Jingxi Hua Fengxiang", etc. Hua Fengxiang is famous for his Han Fang style teapots.
