Les Combes is a Premier Cru umbrella title at the southeastern end of the Saint-Aubin appellation in the Côte de Beaune sub-region of Burgundy. The title covers wines made from grapes in the Les Combes au Sud, Pitangeret and Le Charmois (the latter including the tiny En Vollon Est climat) vineyards. Any combination of these can be given the "Les Combes" title.
These vineyards, which border Chassagne-Montrachet to the southeast - in particular the lieux-dits of Les Chaumées, Petigneret and Les Pasquelles (part of the wider Les Vergers title), and Les Commes (part of Chevenottes) - cover roughly 25 hectares (61 acres) of east-facing hillside and, in the case of Les Combes au Sud, lower valley.
Although predominantly planted to Chardonnay, some examples of Pinot Noir can be found within the title (either as Les Combes or one of its climats).
The area is relatively distinct within Saint-Aubin as the rest of the vineyards at this, eastern, end of the appellation are predominantly found on the opposite slope, facing generally southwest, behind Puligny-Montrachet. The name Les Combes refers to the valley ("combe" in French) that these two areas occupy.
The remaining vineyards cover the southeast facing slopes either side of Saint-Aubin village, further to the west.
Numerous well-regarded domaines produce wines under the Les Combes label.
