A very impressive Ottoman Empire silver-metal ring. It presents a raised bezel with an oval lapis lazuli intaglio showing a scorpion. Multiple incised dots enriches the background. The intaglio decoration served as a stamp or a seal, illustrating a protective symbol or the heraldry of the owner. The raised bezel is richly decorated on all sides with geometric pattern and a twisted wire. The ring band is also embellished with twisted wires on both edges, framing a feather-like pattern.
