James Bond 007: Licence to Kill - Replica Dunhill lighter, with inscription - As seen in the film - Replica Prop - - Filmrekvisitter
In the 1989 film License To Kill (1989), Bond receives a Dunhill lighter from his good friend Felix Leiter and his wife Della on their wedding day. The lighter seen in the film has an inscription that reads:
James,
Always love.
Della and Felix
Bond takes the lighter with him on his rogue mission: we see the lighter lying next to him in the casino of Isthmus City. Bond uses the lighter at the end of the film to ignite Sanchez who is soaked in gasoline.
Bond (Timothy Dalton) is given this highly flammable lighter as a best man gift by Felix and Della Leiter at their wedding. By a kind of poetic justice, this becomes very useful once a gasoline-soaked Franz Sanchez is about to execute Bond with a machete, ultimately allowing 007 to avenge his friends.
It is a very rare replica, it is in perfect condition and the lighter works.
To be clear: this is not Dunhill branded, as stated: this is a replica.
A Holy Grail for many collectors!
