A fine Western Asiatic gold pendant, featuring a bigger loop in the middle and a carnelian bead on the bottom. The main body loop is not enclosed, and is decorated by a blue glass bead and a green glass bead. On the bottom is a carnelian bead is encased in a gold sheet, unable to be suspended. A small loop was attached to the top for suspension.
Jewellery played an important role across many Near Eastern civilisations. Gold necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets would have been worn in everyday life but also buried with the deceased.
