Very beautiful specimen of Gorgonocephalus coming from the Ligurian Sea and recovered with fishing nets at great depths.
This type of animal is very difficult to preserve because once fished they use the autotomy. In this way they try to free themselves by losing part of their limbs.
Some of these limbs in this ophiura are detached but do not affect the itegrity of the specimen.
Mounted on a metal stand that makes this wonder of nature to be elegantly displayed in any environment and cabinet of curiosities.
